Women Will Not Be Left Needing Care

Editor   |   February 10, 2026

As we celebrate the ongoing closures of Planned Parenthood abortion facilities, we face the looming predictions of the abortion industry. They claim that in the void left by Planned Parenthood, women will be left without much needed medical care.

This is a lie.

Ironically, if it were true that Planned Parenthood was focused on women’s health and not just abortion, they could simply no longer offer abortions. This would allow them to enjoy federal funding once more and resume operations. But of course, Planned Parenthood is married to abortion. If they cannot abort unborn babies, they will simply shut down all together. If they believed their own claims, this would mean that they willing pack up and leave communities, stranding helpless women who are left without medical help all because they are so determined to continue aborting children. Strange for an organization which claims abortion is only a fraction of the services they offer.

But if Planned Parenthood’s fearmongering claims are not true, then what is true?

Women will not be left without medical care. An incredible network of pro-life pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) already exists and are ready to serve women in need. In fact, these PRCs already outnumber brick-and-mortar abortion facilities by a ratio of 4:1.

These centers offer an incredible volume of services to women and families. Research from the Charlotte Lozier Institute showed that in 2024 these centers:

Þ Served more than one million new clients.

Þ Provided over $452 million in total medical care, support and education services, and material goods to women and families in need.

Þ Saw client satisfaction rise to 98%

Þ Roughly 80% of centers offer free or low-cost medical services, staffed by over 10,000 medical professionals.

Þ 77% of centers provided post-abortion support.

This network of love has been working tirelessly for years providing the support and healthcare that women need. The abortion industry has spent that time pressuring women into aborting their children and profiting from their death.

Despite the incredible volume of resources and the outpouring of love that they provide, PRCs have been relentlessly targeted by pro-abortion politicians and attorneys. They face a steady stream of lawsuits, legislative pressure, and even physical attacks.

Defending PRCs is an essential part of defending the unborn. Without strong national voices sharing pro-life education in the public square and highlighting the importance of their work, PRCs would become much more vulnerable to the attacks of the abortion lobby.

By supporting Life Issues Institute, you enable us to provide cover for these centers and help us equip them with valuable resources, like this newsletter, among other things, which are delivered to thousands of centers across the country through your generosity alone.

Together the pro-life movement has weaved together a strong infrastructure of care and love which will ensure that women are not left without medical care.
