The Truth Behind the Alexia Moore Case

Oh no, another woman being arrested for taking an abortion pill early in her pregnancy!

Wait.

That didn’t happen. Never has.

But the media needs you to believe it has. Which is why they reported the story on Alexia Moore like this and this.

Even though this couldn’t be further from the truth of what happened. People don’t care about the real story though, they care about the headline. Here are some of the responses that headline got:

  • “Insane law. Free her.”
  • “Laws like these make no sense bcz who’s the victim? A cluster of cells?
  • “Free her immediately. This world is terrifying for women.”
  • “This is why as much I’d love to move to Georgia, I cannot.”
  • “This is scary…. She needs to be free.”

Hundreds of retweets and comments like this. That was the goal.

But what actually happened?

The Headline the Media Won’t Write.

This is Alexia Moore. Moore is a 31-year-old woman who lives in Georgia. She has been charged with attempted murder because she allegedly took oxycodone and an abortion pill between 22-24 weeks. The warrant says a toxicology screening detected oxycodone in the baby’s blood. She went to the hospital, the baby was delivered, then suffered for an hour and died. Moore reportedly told hospital staff, “I know my infant is suffering, because I am the one who did the abortion. I want her to die.”

“I want her to die” should have found it’s way in the headline.

“A 22 week Baby Was Born Alive After Abortion Attempt”

That’s the real story. That’s the reality of what happened. But that looks pretty bad for the pro-abortion industry, doesn’t it? Abortion pills being used long after the week that they were “designed” for, a mother admitting that she simply wants her child dead and being able to order the abortion pills without any oversight from a doctor, a child born to suffer for an hour from an abortion, and a later term abortion that has nothing to do with a fetal anomaly or dying pregnant mother. None of this fits the common narrative the pro-abortion industry pushes.

I’m surprised that they reported it all, drawing any attention to it in the first place. But they really trust that their readers won’t actually read past the headline. Hey, they were right.

“Her”, since no name was given

In all of the coverage, there was one person almost completely erased from the story. Unlike the media, we will talk about her. The baby. Children can survive outside of the womb as early as 21 weeks. This wasn’t a 6-week-old baby, which would have been wrong too, but this was a child who could have been in NICU for a few weeks/months and gone on to have a normal life. A baby sitting in NICU, struggling to stay alive, died. She didn’t die from natural causes, an illness, or disability. She died because her own mother allegedly drugged her, not only with oxycodone but with an abortion pill. This isn’t a case of an abortion pill not working – it worked. It did exactly what it was designed to do: it killed a child. Except this time, we all had to witness it. It wasn’t done behind the curtain of the womb or inside an abortion clinic. We can’t ignore it this time. And this is the uncomfortable reality many people do not want to confront.

This is where “my body my choice” leads.

If you have ever caught yourself saying “my body, my choice”, just know that this is where it leads. This doesn’t only apply to the cases that you’re comfortable with, such as when the child is smaller, younger, and unseen by the world. It also applies to these cases where children were old enough to survive outside the womb and their mother just decided one day that she no longer wanted to be pregnant, no longer wanted her baby to exist. Her body, her choice, amiright? She can change her mind and revoke consent at any point in the pregnancy based on that position. Which also includes later term. If there are no limits on abortion, what this mother did was completely legal. If you disagree with late term abortion, then you don’t believe in “my body my choice”.

Anti-Late Term Pro-Choicers, Where Ya At?

This is a side point, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that no one supports elective late term abortion unless the mother or baby is dying. It usually sounds like, “No woman would ever wait halfway through her pregnancy to abort. A mother would only do that if her life is in danger or the baby is dying. It doesn’t happen. No one supports that, and it’s not legal!”. None of that is true, but for those pro-choicers who are against later term abortion, where are you? No shouting, no protests, no riots, nothing. A baby was murdered yet I hear no push for limits on this kind of situation. Why aren’t you enraged that the media twisted this story into something it wasn’t?

What Else is the Media Lying About?

This is what the legacy media does. They write misleading headlines, making the public believe that women are being charged and jailed for early term abortion. The real story here ended up being a mother drugging and killing her later term child. They do the same with miscarriage. They fear monger to women, making them believe that pro-life laws will get them jailed for having a natural miscarriage. The minute you look into any one of the stories, you’ll quickly find that they are lying. I dove into a few of those viral articles here.

Legalized abortion kills women every year. Pro-life laws save lives, like they did for Kimberly’s child.

Whether pro-life or pro-choice, I hope this opens your eyes to how the media controls the narrative and spins lies. Next time you come across an article about abortion, don’t just read the headline, really take your time to read it and find out what happened. If they lie about this, what else are they lying to you about?
