Yesterday, the Senate Finance Committee released their recommendations for cutting waste, fraud, and abuse. Among the recommendations is one to end the forced taxpayer funding of the abortion industry.
This legislative victory represents another step along the journey to finally defunding Big Abortion. The United States House of Representatives recently passed the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which contains language that will strip Planned Parenthood and other abortionists of their Medicaid funding.
We commend the actions of the Finance Committee. Now, the Senate must continue along the path of saving babies and get this language across the finish line.
Each year, the abortion industry receives hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. Planned Parenthood alone receives nearly $800 million—more than $2 million per day.
