This week before Father’s Day, we remember the Forgotten Fathers, those who’ve lost a child to abortion. They are no less dads than the rest of us and need to be acknowledged and healed. God instilled in the male brain a strong desire to provide for and protect his family. Abortion can seriously damage a man’s psyche because it’s counter to how God made him. Symptoms of lost fatherhood can include anger, self-isolation, nightmares, flashbacks, or the abuse of alcohol or drugs. He may try to numb the pain of, in his mind, failing when it counted most – protecting his children. We’ve compiled a wealth of resources exclusively for men and those who want to help them. Visit life.issues.org, then stay tuned all this week for Forgotten Fathers.
