Wellman Texas Becomes 94th Sanctuary City for the Unborn

Victor Nieves   |   March 02, 2026

The City of Wellman, Texas, has become the 94th Sanctuary City for the Unborn after its city council voted unanimously to outlaw abortion within its borders.

This ordinance protects innocent preborn children from abortion and aims to stop mail-order abortion pills and abortion trafficking from penetrating the community.

As the debate surrounding abortion turns the nation into a battleground, we welcome every advancement of the right to life. Changing culture often starts small. If we can change a city, we can change a state, and if we can change a state, we can change the nation.  When you make your voice heard at the local level, it can start a chain reaction that reaches across the nation.

If your city has not yet become a sanctuary for the unborn, we encourage you to lead the charge for life.
