Abortion as Birth Control

A British pop star named Lily Allen found herself on the receiving end of social media backlash. While chatting with her cohost on their podcast, Lily lightheartedly said she didn’t remember how many abortions she had. Lily said, “Abortions, I’ve had a few, but then again, I can’t remember exactly how many. I want to say four or five.” Her cohost admitted to having “about five” abortions. Neither woman expressed any remorse for killing their children. In America a vast majority of abortions are done for social or economic reasons. Less than two percent are done for what we call the hard cases of rape, incest, a baby’s disability or life of the mother. In large part, abortion’s being used as birth control in our nation. Americans oppose this by wide margins.
