Nobody Knows What the Future Holds

A Pennsylvania couple decided to adopt a little girl with Down syndrome.  So overjoyed having her in their family they adopted a second child with the condition.  Another mother of a child with Down syndrome said, “We don’t know what the future holds for Janae, but we will be right there every step of the way.”  Said just like any other parent.  We don’t know what the future holds with any of our kids.  Acknowledge the differences between those with Down syndrome and not, then concentrate on the many similarities.  They far and away outnumber the differences.  Being told your baby has Down syndrome may rock your world but take a breath and reach out to parents who know.  We can help with that.  Visit lifeissues.org for free resources.
