Gallop, a widely respected polling group, has published the results of their annual Values and Beliefs Survey, which includes America’s opinion on abortion. The poll indicates a four percentage increase in Americans who identify as pro-life. There was a three percent increase in those who believe abortion’s morally wrong. There was a slight increase in those who believe abortion should be legal during the first twelve weeks, but at the same time there was considerable opposition to abortion after the first trimester. Over half feel abortion should be generally illegal in the second trimester and a whopping seventy percent oppose abortion in the third trimester. This strong showing comes in the face of an overly biased media when covering the abortion issue. Take heart, you’re in the majority!
