Federal Efforts to Protect Life

The main focus of the abortion battle front is on individual states.  Even so, pro-life members of Congress are working to save unborn babies on the federal level.  The Republican Study Committee has introduced what is being called “the most pro-life congressional budget ever produced.”  It contains over two-hundred bills and initiatives, thirty of them pro-life.  These include a prohibition of transporting minors across state lines for abortions without parents’ consent.  Another would end abortions after fifteen weeks of pregnancy, and one banning federal funding for any entity that provides abortion.  It’s vitally important we continue to advance the cause for life in Congress hopefully to someday protect babies in blue states like California and New York.
