It features an amazing breakthrough on systemic scleroderma, a progressive and lethal disease. It involves hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues, especially affecting the kidneys, heart and lungs. Dave Kurtz was a seven-time Ironman competitor who was stuck by this disease. His future was bleak until adult stem cell treatment that didn’t involve killing human embryos.
