Pulitzer prices are thought by many to be the pinnacle of journalistic excellence. Each year they are awarded to those who have published groundbreaking stories or investigative reports. Tragically this year that reputation has been degraded.
The Pulitzer committee awarded ProPublica their highest honor, The Public Service award to a series of pro-abortion propaganda articles. The series titled, “Life of the Mother, How Abortion Bans Lead to Preventable Deaths” is a compilation of fearmongering articles misleading the public into believing that pro-life laws endanger women.

The series focuses on tragic maternal deaths in states like Georgia or Texas. They attempt to connect these deaths to pro-life protections in those states. One article highlights the death of Amber Nicole Thurman, blaming Georgia’s pro-life laws. What the article fails to mention is that the Georgia law did not prevent Amber from receiving medical care. In fact, there is no pro-life legislation in any state that would prohibit doctors from providing lifesaving care to a woman in need.
Another article claimed that a rise in maternal sepsis was due to Texas’ pro-life laws. What the publication did not mention however is that sepsis is a known complication of the chemical abortion drug. When a woman takes these pills and conducts her abortion at home with no meaningful medical oversight it is not uncommon for fetal remains to remain inside her uterus causing infection. Recent studies show that these drugs are 22x more dangerous than the FDA claims. This attempted deception draws attention away from the true dangers being promoted by the abortion industry and misleads women about their medical safety.
Rather than protecting women and holding the abortion industry accountable, ProPublica blames pro-life legislation that protects human life.
By awarding their most prestigious prize to these articles Pulitzer has exposed their own pro-abortion bias. A once respected award has been degraded.
