Today, the United States House of Representatives took a major step forward in protecting innocent human life by passing the budget reconciliation bill that ends the forced taxpayer funding of the abortion industry.

Life Issues Institute applauds this courageous vote and celebrates the tireless efforts of pro-life leaders in Congress who fought hard to secure its passage.

“The nation’s largest chain of abortion mills has an annual income of $2 billion dollars. It gets well over $2 million tax dollars every day. The number of babies killed by abortion continues to climb,” said Bradley Mattes, President of Life Issues Institute. “Now’s the time to end tax funding of America’s most aggressive killer of unborn babies.”

While the House’s passage of this bill is an encouraging milestone, the fight is far from over. The legislation now moves to the Senate, where pro-life lawmakers must work diligently to secure its final passage.

Life Issues Institute urges the Senate to stand firm against the lies of the abortion industry. We will continue to fight to ensure that no American is forced to subsidize Big Abortion.

Life Issues Institute is dedicated to changing hearts and minds of millions of people through pro-life education. Organizations and individuals around the world depend upon Life Issues Institute to provide the latest information and effective tools to protect innocent human life from fertilization to natural death.
