I’m celebrating Mother’s Day with special programs. Today I’m honoring mothers of children with special needs. They daily face challenges that you and I are unaware of. And for the obvious struggles, it’s difficult to empathize. A young couple in my church has a child with autism. Maybe you’re like me and know very little about this condition. Even so, you and I can still reach out to them with love and encouragement. Being a parent of a child with challenges can be lonely, so small acts of kindness are much appreciated. This Sunday I’m giving the young mom in my church a special Mother’s Day card with a note of encouragement and Christian love. Find a mother in your universe who would love a kind gesture and bless her on Mother’s Day.
