Sometimes what we expect out of life is entirely different from what God ordains. Satu Gonzalez from Sweden had a miscarriage at twenty-one. Because of complications, she and her husband gave up on having children. But God had other plans. In 2008, the couple had their first child. Then every year for the next ten years, another baby was added to the family. Number eleven child came on November eleven. Exhaustion is frequent but Satu says, “the smiles and love of children is the best reward for my care for them.” She recovers quickly from pregnancies, and to say she keeps active is an understatement. A video of the siblings holding their new brother is very moving. Watch it at lifeissues.org and click on the microphone icon.
