I’ve often seen God do beautiful things from the ashes of our lives. As part of our special week featuring adoption and foster care, I want to tell you about Mardie Caldwell, who suffered seven miscarriages and failed fertility treatments. Out of these ashes, God helped Mardie learn more about adoption, which opened doors to sharing tips with other prospective adoption couples. This led to hosting information nights for groups of couples navigating the adoption process. She founded the Lifetime Adoption Foundation, which enabled Mardie to direct couples to ethical adoption agencies. Many are not. Lifetime shows women who’ve had abortions that an open adoption is a much better option for all involved. And birthmothers are offered practical assistance through delivery and beyond.
