Twenty-something Jimmy Amisial is a Texas State University student. While at home in Haiti, he found a newborn infant naked in the trash, covered in ant bites. Infant abandonment’s a major problem in Haiti. He rushed the baby home where he and his mom bathed, fed, and clothed the tiny boy and got him medical care. Eventually a judge asked Jimmy to be his legal guardian. This was a huge responsibility because Jimmy already struggled to pay for college and provide for his mother back home. He had to take time off from studies to work and care for his son, and five years later, he’s still striving to get his degree. God blessed Jimmy’s faithfulness. Donors gave generously to cover adoption costs, with extra to cover Jimmy’s education. Good is good.
