UN Council Criticizes Belgium Euthanasia Laws

Bradley Mattes   |   February 10, 2022

This is a significant development considering the source.  The United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland is sounding the alarm that Belgium has gone too far with its euthanasia program.  Several member states have called on the country to end its discrimination of persons with disabilities and the elderly and instead provide quality palliative care for them.  Belgium legalized euthanasia 20 years ago and has seen a hundredfold increase in associated deaths.  They even allow so-called doctors to kill children at any age.  Twenty-four infants have been euthanized in just 15 months.  Agencies associated with the United Nations usually have extreme progressive agendas, so this welcome and much-needed criticism, coming from multiple sources, is not to be taken lightly.
