Kaytlin and Benjamin Toews were on their way home from the hospital with their son Jackson. He was a preemie who spent two months in the hospital. For the brief journey the parents only packed one diaper and a pack of wipes with just two left inside. Things turned ominous when flood waters blocked their route home. By the time they turned around and reached the local town, there was no room in the inn. All of the hotels were booked. Sound familiar? As they left a resource center that referred them to an available hotel some distance away, Kaytlin ran into a woman who, after hearing about their plight, organized local women to provide the items she desperately needed for her baby. Forty women responded within an hour or so. After a week in the hotel, they finally made it home.
