The government Centers for Disease Control released abortion numbers for 2019. Sadly, abortion increased in America by nearly two percent. Of the states that report these figures, about half reported an increase. The use of the chemical abortion pill is likely the cause for more abortions. It now accounts for about half of all abortions done. These latest figures show how state taxpayer funding of abortion impacts the number of babies killed. West Virginia stopped funding abortion and the number fell by over 20%. Illinois started funding abortions and the number of babies killed increased by nine percent. While the increase in our nation’s abortions is tragic, the pro-life movement has sustained a long-term decline in the incidence of abortion. Let’s pray we can save more.
