Fire Your Doctor

Before Zoey and her husband Jake even knew their baby had Down syndrome, the doctor had scheduled an abortion.  He broke the news to Zoey, a teacher, by phone as she stood before her class, just before informing her she was having an abortion.  What arrogance.  The couple was told to expect a grim medical future, that the baby would be stillborn, die soon after birth or be on permanent dialysis.  None of this happened. Thinking that MD stands for medical deity. Parents should fire doctors who cross the line.  Money talks when ethics won’t.
