When placed in a Los Angeles foster care home at thirteen years old, the young girl said she was sexually assaulted by two foster brothers and the foster dad. After complaining of pain, the foster mother took her to the doctor where she was diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease and was five months pregnant. When the girl’s pregnancy was reported to her case worker, the child was taken for an abortion and placed back in the abusive home for another two years where the assaults continued. The case worker was responsible for protecting this young girl, but acted only to cover up the crime. Now the girl is left to cope with the abuse and an abortion and is suing the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
