Jeremiah one verse five is often quoted in the context of protecting unborn babies from abortion.  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  A project by the Douglass Leadership Institute, inspired by this scripture, strives to welcome black pastors to pray for an end to abortion; to preach that life comes from God, and to recruit other black pastors to promote these goals.  For decades, the abortion industry has had the black community in its crosshairs, so it’s imperative that pastors boldly stand for life and teach their congregations that every life is a gift from God to be protected.  Visit lifeissues.org for more details on this very crucial undertaking.
