Twenty-eight years ago pro-lifers in Chattanooga, Tennessee joined forces to purchase the local abortion facility and turned it into a memorial for aborted babies. For nearly three decades the city has been abortion free and mothers, fathers and other family members have had a place to go to find hope and healing. It’s a moving environment with 50 feet of granite called the Wall of Names adorned with small plaques dedicated to babies by individuals throughout the country. Pro-lifers say the spiritual atmosphere in Chattanooga changed with the abortion center closing. But they must be ever vigilant. Planned Parenthood recently announced they’ve hired two new staffers to establish a presence there. Few doubt they plan to open an abortion center.
