Supreme Court to Hear Major Abortion Case

The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear a major abortion case, Dobs versus Jackson Women’s Health.  The Mississippi law limits most abortions performed after 15 weeks.  The primary legal issue is whether or not states can protect unborn babies prior to viability, that is before a baby can live outside the womb.  The legislation was passed by an overwhelming majority of the legislature.  And the American people are speaking loudly and clearly.  Over 500 pro-life laws have been introduced since the first of the year.  If the Court rules in favor of Mississippi’s unborn, it’d be a huge step toward humanizing our laws and challenging the extreme status quo permitted under Roe.  It’s time the nation’s highest court let go of its deadly abortion legacy.
