World Down Syndrome Day

Bradley Mattes   |   March 19, 2021

Sunday is World Down Syndrome Day.  It’s the twenty first day of the third month because Down syndrome is caused by a third, twenty-first chromosome.  This week Life Issues programs have celebrated and generated awareness on God’s Special Creations.  Sadly, two-thirds of unborn babies diagnosed with the condition are aborted.  Senator Steve Daines from Montana is chair of the Senate Pro-Life Caucus, and is a passionate supporter of federal legislation to protect such babies in the womb.  He said, “This is eugenics, and we cannot allow this to continue in our country.”  He’s right.  We can protect their lives if we’re educated and equipped to be advocates.  That’s what this week has been all about.  Visit lifeissues.org for more information and resources.
