Lockdowns Deadly Toll

Protecting innocent human life is our mission at Life Issues, so I was interested in reading a published paper by academics at Harvard, Duke and Johns Hopkins universities.  In it they say the COVID lockdowns will result in a “staggering” one million excess deaths over the next fifteen years.  This is due, they say, to the massive unemployment that has a domino effect.  Unemployment went from nearly four percent to over fourteen percent.  Scores have lost their employer-paid health insurance; many preventive care interventions were stopped; and additional stress caused more cardiovascular issues.  Researchers said a surge in suicides is clearly evident, and hope officials consider their findings as they contemplate their next moves to combat the pandemic.
