Since taking the White House, Joe Biden has made repeated calls for unity. He said, “To love our neighbors as ourselves is a radical act, yet it’s what we’re called to do…we [must] rise above our divisions and truly heal.” One good way to heal our divisions would be for the new president to support the Hyde Amendment that stops our tax dollars from funding abortion on demand. Back in 1976, Hyde was passed in bipartisan fashion, and continued throughout the Carter, Clinton, and Obama presidencies. But Mr. Biden changed his position from supporting Hyde to giving his presidential seal of approval on funding the killing with our tax dollars. If he supports unity, President Biden should begin the healing by supporting the Hyde Amendment.
