A beloved leader of the pro-life movement has died. Joe Scheidler, founder of Pro-Life Action League, passed away surrounded by family at 93-years-old. Joe was a tall, imposing figure who stood along the street or at abortion centers with signs showing the alarming reality of what abortion does to babies. He was nicknamed the Godfather of the movement and had an intimidating presence, but was a teddy bear at heart, deeply concerned for both the mother and child at risk for abortion. It was an honor to have known him. Joe’s son, Eric is now leading the organization. Slowly the old guard, those who led the pro-life movement in its early years, are going on to glory, but generations have learned from them and taken up the cause.
