The Kids Need You

Carly and John Souza have seven children – two by birth and five by adoption through foster care.  Carly went on to lead Fostering Hope, a church-based ministry in Las Vegas.  They come alongside churches to grow the number of fostering families, bring awareness and education, and strive to help with practical needs of local agencies.  Their mandate is James 1:27, “look after orphans and widows in their distress.”  There’s about a half-million foster kids in the system and over a quarter of them have experienced four or more placements.  Imagine the impact on these children.  Many age out of foster care with no parenting or mentoring.  You can imagine the odds stacked against them.  Please, prayerfully consider being a foster parent.  The kids need you.
