COVID19 tried to derail this little girl’s adoption, but love—and perseverance—won out. From the start, Kate Graham had been fostering 5-yr-old Monroe with the plan to adopt. As they came down to the finish line, COVID19 hit and threatened their plans indefinitely. But with a little pushing, a little pleading and praying, a path forward opened. A Zoom event was created to facilitate the adoption. The official ceremony was small, but the tiny community of Taylorville came together and drove around the town square to cheer the family on, just in time for Mother’s Day! If the Lord has placed foster care or adoption on your heart, don’t let a pandemic—or anything else—stop you.
