Undermining Parental Rights

Twenty-one states require a minor to get at least one parent’s permission before having an abortion.  It’s common sense to involve a parent before any surgical or life-altering procedure.  North Carolina is one of those states, and zealous pro-abortion activists are working to undermine the authority of parental rights there.  The Carolina Abortion Fund and ACLU created a special text line just for minors who want to get an abortion without involving their parents.  It goes well beyond texting.  There are organizations dedicated to securing abortions for minors.  They help them obtain a lawyer, a judicial bypass for the abortion and funding to pay for it – all in secret.  Parents please keep the line of communication open with your children so they won’t be victimized.
