Babies as Teachers

Bradley Mattes   |   May 22, 2019

Britain’s youngest teachers are only 10-months old.  Teachers are bringing in their babies every two weeks to teach elementary school students invaluable lessons.  Getting hands-on, one-on-one interaction with the babies is teaching them empathy, understanding and responsibility.  And it’s the most troublesome students who are interacting and benefiting the most.  We used to have this system in America.  It was called large families where older children would benefit from the younger ones as they helped take care of them.  That was my personal experience when boy number five was born into our family when I was ten.  Some of my happiest childhood memories are taking care of my baby brother.  Maybe that’s where my passion for the unborn began.
