Abortion doesn’t have to be – nor should it be – a partisan political issue. And recently we saw a couple of excellent examples in Louisiana. State Representative Katrina Jackson is a Democrat who sponsored a pro-life bill asking for a statewide vote on abortion to keep judges from imposing a pro-abortion edict should Roe be overturned. It simply says there’s no right to abortion in the state constitution. Louisiana State Senator John Milkovich, also a Democrat, has introduced a heartbeat bill to end abortion after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected in a doctor’s office. Let’s thank all state legislators, Democrat and Republican, who stand in the gap for America’s unborn babies and their moms. They need our prayers for stamina and protection.
