Today is truly a day for celebration. March twenty-first is World Down Syndrome Day. Why today? Because of the numbers three and twenty-one. March – the third month – and the twenty-first day represent what causes the condition of Down syndrome. It’s a third copy of the twenty-first chromosome. Now, more than ever, individuals with Down syndrome are being mainstreamed into society. Sadly, more unborn babies than ever are being aborted simply because of their condition. We can be their voice. We can tell expectant parents about the many blessings in-store for them. We have loads of resources on our website, many for parents of these wonderful children.
