Here’s an inspiring young man I want to tell you about. Caleb Hanna made history as the nation’s youngest black legislator. While a senior in high school, he launched a campaign, later winning the Republican primary with seventy-three percent of the vote and ousted the incumbent Democrat with over sixty percent. Now he represents West Virginia’s forty-fourth district in the House of Delegates. Faith and unborn babies are his top issues, so you may be surprised his inspiration, back in third grade, was Barack Obama. He thought to himself, “I can do that.” And he just may! He’ll have to balance public service with college and hopefully later, law school. It’s people like Caleb who make our nation great. I hope he now inspires others like him.
