New Governor Admits to Earlier Felony Offense

Bradley Mattes   |   November 30, 2018

The New Yorker recently reported that a mother of a would-be politician was struggling with breast cancer.  Even so, her son seemed too busy to see her.  Finally, as she was preparing to kill herself through assisted suicide, she left a message on his phone.  “Hope you’re well.  Next Wednesday will be the last day for me.  Hope you can make it.”  The son did make it before she died and cooked her a last meal before giving his California mother the lethal drugs to kill herself.  At the time it was a felony to use assisted suicide.  She died in San Francisco where her son was on the Board of Supervisors and had taken an oath to uphold the law.  This less-than-attentive son is Gavin Newsom, and he was just elected governor of California.
