A woman came into Publix, a grocery store, asking if there were any first birthday cakes on order for the weekend. He thought she was a customer and asked for a name, but she simply wanted to anonymously pay for a cake. A year before, she had delivered a stillborn child and was denied celebrating a first birthday. Instead of being bitter, she turned her grief in to positive action and wanted to bless another’s celebration. So she settled on a Sesame Street cake for a little boy named David. This made me realize that those who’ve lost a child or someone special could keep their eyes out for an everyday situation that would honor their loved one. Please let me know what you come up with. I might share it on radio. Because these stories inspire all of us.
