Abortion Down in Israel

There’s very encouraging news from Israel.  The Israeli Health Ministry reported since 1990, there’s been a 34 percent drop in the ratio of abortions to live births.  One of the top reasons given for the good news is, it’s a reflection of traditional societal values.  There has also been a sharp rise in the number of live births.  Abortion is widely available in Israel.  A woman must first get the okay from a panel of doctors and social workers, but that’s a mere formality.  Nearly every abortion request is accepted.  One senior physician believes that Israel sees a growing population in neighboring countries and is waking to the fact that children are their best renewable resource.  Yes, children are a blessing from God to be highly treasured.
