Last September Mackinlee Anderson suffered a severe brain injuries in a car accident that killed her grandmother. In addition, the six-year-old’s little body was riddled with other serious injuries. Doctors told her parents she was brain dead and would never walk, talk or eat on her own again — if she survived at all. But just 32 days later Mackinlee began to speak. Her first word was “mom.” Recently, she took her first unaided steps. She spent five-and-a-half months in the hospital and still has more recovery ahead of her. This pint-sized “miracle girl” as her family and friends call her, has shown doctors they don’t have the final word regarding the outcome of the patient. Those details are safely and securely in the hands of her Heavenly Father who made her.
