State Department Says Abortion Not a Human Right

Bradley Mattes   |   May 07, 2018

During a press conference, Ambassador Michael Kozak was asked why the State Department doesn’t monitor pro-life laws around the world, implying they’re bad for women’s health.  The Ambassador answered, “We don’t report on it, because [abortion is not] a human right.”  The State Department removed the term “reproductive rights” from its annual report citing no international law requiring them to support or oppose abortion.  It was replaced with “coerced family planning” with a focus on forced abortion, as required by law.  Further, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is pro-life and via Donald Trump’s directive, will make sure any funds under him won’t be used to promote or provide abortion.  This is huge, and pro-aborts are duly upset.  Electing a pro-life president is crucial.
