History was made Tuesday evening. For the first time a sitting president attended and spoke at a pro-life event. Thanks to a September merger, we’re now part of the Susan B. Anthony List family, and we held our annual Campaign for Life Gala in Washington, DC. Kathy Ireland emceed, and the featured speaker was President Donald Trump, already the most pro-life president in our nation’s history. The President said it was essential to “protect faith, family and life.” Then added, “When a mother and father first hold a baby in their arms, they are changed forever.” Every parent can attest to that. President Trump promised added pro-life gains if we can elect more pro-life senators this fall, the final roadblock to life-saving legislation. Thank you for coming, Mr. President.
