Former USA Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar, was convicted and sentenced for sexual abuse. The first woman to file a criminal complaint was Christian pro-lifer, Rachel Denhollander. It happened when she was only 15, but others were younger. In her statement, Rachel warned Nassar of God’s final judgement. She said, “Should you ever reach the point of truly facing what you have done, the guilt will be crushing. And that is what makes the gospel of Christ so sweet. Because it extends grace and hope and mercy where none should be found…which you need far more than forgiveness from me – though I extend that to you as well.” Those in the court room gave her a standing ovation. This was a strong and memorable witness for Christ and His amazing grace, regardless of the sin.
