A group of women in Maine are decked out in bright yellow t-shirts with the letters GRR on them. This stands for Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights, which means they want to keep abortion on demand legal throughout pregnancy. The founder is Judy Kahrl, whose father, Dr. Clarence Gamble of Procter and Gamble fame, was a good friend and fellow advocate with Margaret Sanger. Sanger was an avowed public supporter of eugenics. People of color, the poor and the disabled were considered weeds to be exterminated. Grandma Kahrl is carrying on her dad’s work by advocating the abortion of grandchildren. If these women want to be helpful, they can assist the many grandparents who mourn the deaths of their grandbabies to abortion instead of creating more anguish.
