Teens Abstaining from Sex is Long Term

ve8QAd   |   July 08, 2016

There’s good news!  Fewer teens are having premarital sex.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released numbers from last year showing fewer teens are drinking, fighting and smoking.  These are good reasons to rejoice, but the statistic I’m most excited about is, the number of teens abstaining from sex has increased by about a third during the last twenty-five years.  So this isn’t a blip on the screen.  It’s a validated trend.  Over half of all teens are waiting for sex—the highest to date.  It’s proof why recent stats on teen birth rates and abortion are at an all-time low.  I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again.  Parents, you’re the biggest reason teens abstain from sex, so keep talking to them about it because your influence in their lives is working.
