Operation Abortion

Bradley Mattes   |   March 29, 2016

Authorities have uncovered a ghastly scheme to embezzle money from insurance companies.  Through an investigation called Operation Abortion, police have identified at least nineteen people who were members of an illegal network.  Pregnant women would abort their babies using chemical abortion pills.  Then they would intentionally fake a car accident and collect insurance money, claiming they lost their unborn babies because of the wreck.  Insurance companies became suspicious after comparing similar cases of at least ten women.  It’s not known if any medical staff was involved, nor do they know if the pregnancies were planned or not.  They’re investigating the possibility the women were coerced and involved with human trafficking.  The investigation is ongoing and there may be further arrests.
