Students for Life at Purdue University were putting up posters for Black History Month that read, “Hands Up, Don’t Abort.” They were also educating students about the abortion industry targeting women of color. During an online conversation with the pro-life students, Jamie Newman, one of Purdue’s pro-abortion staff, became so incensed, he posted that he would rape female members of one of the student’s family. The pro-life students went to Purdue authorities who said the accusations were “unacceptable” if true. Even though they’re true, being “unacceptable” depends upon which side of the abortion debate you’re on. The university first said it would take no action, but ongoing protests finally resulted in Newman’s resignation. Purdue’s weak response made the campus unsafe for pro-life women. And this is truly unacceptable.
