A new national poll is sending a chill up the spine of pro-abortion activists. Over eighty percent of Americans, including women, say abortion should only be legal until the third month of pregnancy—at most. What’s more, the poll shows abortion advocates are losing their base. Two-thirds of self-described pro-choicers support dramatic restrictions to abortion. A clear majority also believe abortion does more harm than good to women. This means if we get a pro-life president and sustain a pro-life majority in Congress, we can make substantial gains in ending abortion. And we have the support of a super majority of Americans! This encouraging news also means pro-life presidential candidates should be making the most of it in their campaigns. We’re winning the battle.
