Dads Have Hormonal Changes During Pregnancy

Dads often feel left out of the process of pregnancy.  But new research indicates that you dads are actually affected physically by your wife’s pregnancy.  The study was published in the American Journal of Human Biology and says expectant dads also experience hormonal changes when a bun’s in the oven.  First-time dads showed a significant decline in testosterone, which is associated with seeking out partners for intimacy and dominance.  Researchers tested men’s hormone level at twelve weeks into pregnancy and every eight weeks until birth.  Previous studies have shown fathers have a lower level of testosterone than non-fathers.  Other studies didn’t show similar drops in men when pregnancy wasn’t a factor.  If true, I think it’s God’s way of preparing you dads to be ready for the baby.
