Hallie Levine wrote an article opposing Ohio’s proposed law prohibiting aborting babies because they have Down syndrome. Hallie wrote she would’ve aborted her daughter had she known JoJo had Down syndrome. But then she adds this seven-year-old makes her “beyond grateful” to have her and calls JoJo the center of her world. But at the same time Hallie says the law tells women they can’t choose abortion out of a “genuine concern for the well-being of [her] unborn child.” I ask how can mother possibly kill her child by abortion for the child’s well-being?! It’s been a tough road for Hallie with much sacrifice, but she writes it’s well worth it. So how can she deny the same joy to other women? That’s the whole reason behind this legislation.
