Senator Says First Amendment Doesn’t Apply to Individuals

Bradley Mattes   |   July 16, 2015

If this doesn’t send a chill up the spine of every religious person, nothing will. US Senator Tammy Baldwin, a Democrat from Wisconsin and the nation’s first openly lesbian senator, has publicly said First Amendments rights apply to churches but not to individuals. The recent Supreme Court rulings have motivated leftist individuals to go even further. Senator Baldwin said, “…in institutions of faith there is absolute power to observe deeply held religious beliefs. But I don’t think it extends far beyond that.” In other words, you can say whatever you want inside the church building, but keep it to yourself beyond the threshold. Any religious belief, including the sanctity of life, is at risk in America unless you and every other Christian speak out to stop them. It begins at the polls.
